Born in St. Louis, Cole grew up playing tennis at The Highlands in Forest Park (formerly Triple A, where dad Andy was the director of tennis), then moved to play at the John Newcombe Tennis Ranch in New Braunfels, Texas. And, yes, Andy was on the staff.
At Newcombe, Cole became one of the top juniors in the country and, at the same time, played for New Braunfels High School, bringing the school three State Team Titles.
As a Division 2 player at The University of Texas of the Permian Basin, Cole helped his team rank in the nation’s top 25.
Since coming home to St. Louis and joining the Frontenac family, Cole has ranked #1 in the men’s open division in St. Louis and, with partner Ethan McAfferty, won the 2022 Frontenac Pro Doubles Classic.
