He is a certified teaching pro by the USPTA. He is from Auckland, New Zealand and moved to the United States in 2015 to play college tennis where he received a scholarship to play at McKendree University. He graduated with a degree in Exercise Science with a minor in Sports Psychology. As a junior playing tennis he played in many ITF tournaments competing in different countries such as Australia, Fiji, and New Caledonia.
